iEat Green Shares Interview with Micaela Colley from Organic seed Alliance

Hi All,

This past Thursday I had a great conversation with Micaela Colley, the program director from the Organic Seed Alliance. The Organic Seed Alliance is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit that works to advance ethical seed solutions to meet food and farming needs in our changing world. They focus on educating farmers and other members of the agricultural community, while conducting organic plant breeding and seed production research, and advocating for national policies that strengthen organic seed systems. Micaela is responsible for their programing and partnering with other organizations, so they can provide support for an internship program, public breeding programs, and online trainings, with the goal of increasing the diversity, quality, and the integrity of organic seeds available to US farmers.

There are a few events and websites that OSA would like me to share with you;

First, there is a wonderful Organic Seed Growers Conference coming up on February 14-17th, 2018, in  Corvallis, OR. Then there is their Seed Internship Program! A recent OSA blog post on Farm Bill for you to read, their Carrot Improvement for Organic Agriculture Program, and their Northern Organic Vegetable Improvement Collaborative

Check them all out!

If you missed our interview, you can listen to it here.
