iEat Green Shares Interview with Grace Gershuny

Hi Everyone,

I just finished interviewing Grace Gershuny about her book, Organic Revolutionary: A Memoir of the Movement for Real Food, Planetary Healing, and Human LiberationIt is a story of her life, how she first got into gardening with the “Back to the Land” movement, found her way into NOFA (Northeast Organic Farming Association, and ultimately ended up in Washington DC, working for the USDA’s National Organic Program (NOP) for 5 years. The book outlines the beginnings of the UDSA’s label “organic” and how it came to be, starting with the Organic Food Production Act (OFPA), the National Organic Standards Board (NOSB) and the Organic Trade Association (OTA) It is a great book for anyone interested in the organic movement and it’s history.

If you missed the interview, you can listen to it here!
