iEat Green Shares Interview with Edie Feinstein, the Managing Director from Brooklyn FoodWorks

Yesterday, Edie Feinstein, the Managing Director of Brooklyn FoodWorks  joined me on my PRN radio show, to talk about Brooklyn FoodWork’s new 10,000 sq. ft. incubator kitchen in the Bed-Stuy area of Brooklyn. Brooklyn FoodWorks is an innovative, cooperative kitchen where small businesses can become members, and benefit from the different services they offer. In addition to the 10 flexible work station kitchens that are for rent, they have a demo kitchen and conference space that is suitable for cooking classes, photo shoots, and dinner events. Edie’s experience working with Venture for America and Dinner Lab in New Orleans, along with her passion for artisanal foods, helps inform her work at Brooklyn FoodWorks. ThEdiee space is much more than just a kitchen for rent, it is a resource for young businesses that can assist them in administrative work, licensing, nutrition labels, and distribution. Along with the different memberships, you have access to a loading dock, dry, cold and freezer storage, laundry service, garbage removal and internet services. If you are interested in visiting Brooklyn FoodWorks, they offer tours on Tuesdays and Thursdays. To learn more, listen to our interview below, and visit them at http://www.thebrooklynfoodworks.com
