Today I had the pleasure of talking with my friend and colleague, Beth Fiteni, about her new book, The Green Wardrobe Guide- Finding EcoChic Fashions that Look Great and Help Save the Planet. The world of fashions is huge, but the world of Eco Fashion is only a very small part of it, and Beth is working to change that! Did you know that 10% of all the pesticides used in the world are used on cotton and that 85% of clothing ends up in a landfill? I had no idea!! The fashion industry is responsible for taking advantage of the lack of regulations in many developing countries, and have contributed to some of the worst pollution issues and human labor issues on the planet. Have you seen the documentary film River Blue? It’s shocking and eye opening, as is Beth’s new book! Beth is also the founder of, Green Inside and Out, a non profit organization working to empower people to find healthier alternatives to common toxins and to create a low carbon lifestyle.
