iEat Green is Wishing You All a Very Happy New Year, Filled with Love, Peace and Health! Listen to my Interview with Photographer and Feminist, Lisa Levart, About her Work with Goddesses on Earth!

Hi All,

On behalf of myself and the iEat Green team, I want to wish you all a very Happy New Year! happy-new-yearMay it be filled with Love, Peace, Joy, Serenity, Health and Prosperity! As we brace ourselves for the new incoming administration, please remember these wise words; God, grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change,: Courage to change the things I can,: And wisdom to know the difference. In this new year, may we all rise to the occasion, and become active citizens who are willing to stand for our ideals of freedom in every arena. If you haven’t yet signed up to join the Women’s March on Washington (or your local city ‘sister march’) you can do it here!

We are taking a break for the holiday, and thought this would be the perfect opportunity to re-play my interview with photographer and feminist, Lisa Levart, before the Women’s March on Washington, January 21st. Lisa has been traveling the world, documenting through photography, the many incredible women she has met along the way, who are affecting change in their communities. goddessHer book, Goddess on Earth, Portraits of the Divine Feminine, was awarded the 2012 GOLD Nautilus Book Award in the photography/art category. Through self-identification, each women is portrayed as the goddess who most deeply reflects and gives meaning to her life, creating a visual symphony of the wisdom, courage and personal strength of the female spirit. When Lisa photographed me, I chose the Hindu goddess, Annapurna, who represents nourishment and food, along with charity and prosperity. As many of you have heard me say, when food is cooked  with the spirit of gratitude and love, it becomes alchemy, and feeds a person on many different levels. That is one of the reasons I think it is so important for us all to get back into the kitchen and start cooking, so we can serve our loved ones (including ourselves) nourishing food that is imbued with magic! May you have fun in the kitchen this holiday season!
