iEat Green is Hiring! Join Global Divestment Day; An Interview with Rob Mansfield, from Grassroots Naturally Delicious

Hi Everyone,

I hope all of you living in the snow covered parts of the country are managing to stay warm, safe, and happy! I just returned from the Brooklyn Winery, were I attended the 5th Annual Slow Food Almanac, addressing Climate Change, Agriculture, and Resilience. It was an evening of thought provoking discussion, reflections on past disasters while looking at the new opportunities that arose, and heavy realities mixed with optimistic hopes for the future. I’m glad I was there, because the more I know, the more I feel empowered to be the change I want to see in the world, and to bring my friends along!

On February 13 and 14th, we have an opportunity to participate in Global Divestment Day,? Global Divest.jpg_largeand be part of the change. The world is coming together to divest from fossil fuels. Together, we can show that we are truly a global and growing force to be reckoned with. As the fossil fuel industry throws more money at fossil fuel expansion, we will turn up the volume of our divestment movement. And we won?t stop until we win. Join the movement!

If you share my passion for organic, healthy food, sustainable agriculture, environmental issues, and the Slow Food Movement, and are great with social media, writing and computers, then you might want to consider working for iEat Green. I am looking for an assistant, 3 days per week. If you know your way around the kitchen, that is a bonus! Please send me a cover letter and resume to Bhavani@iEatGreen.com.

On Thursday at 10am, please join me in welcoming my dear friend and colleague, Rob Mansfield, the owner of Grassroots Naturally Delicious. Grassroots is not your typical eatery, it is so much more! In fact, it used to be primarily a bake shop, but it changed it’s name a few years ago, when it realized that more people craved their delicious, healthy food, than their baked items. They still have great baked items, but they are really known for their delicious, natural, wholesome foods, fresh juices, the Grassroots Cleanse, and most importantly, as a “community center.” For Rob, being part of his community, and giving back to his community, is the part of his business that he loves the most. Please join me on Thursday, as Rob shares with us his journey from the corporate world, to an entrepreneur with heart! Grassroots
