Yesterday I had a great interview with the folks over at the Socially Responsible Agricultural Project (SRAP), which is a non profit organization that empowers rural communities and family farmers to fight back against the infiltration of industrial agriculture. As we all know, the devastating health, environmental, and economic impacts of Concentrated Animal Feeding Operations (CAFOs) is wrecking havoc on rural communities and putting family farmers out of business. SRAP supports sustainable family farming—not animal factories, and they provide tools and strategies for standing up to the corporate industrial agricultural take over. The work they are doing is so important, so we could use your help in getting the word out. The more people know about the negative impacts that industrial agriculture is having on our food, environment, health and local economies, the quicker we can band together to fight this unjust food system.
