iEat Green Hosts the Massapequa Girl Scouts; The Food and Film Feast at UUCSR; and Junie Moon on the Progressive Radio Network!

Hi Everyone,

As every week passes by, it seems that each one just folds into the other, with very little separation as to img_7468where one starts and one ends. This week, I had the pleasure of hosting a Girl Scout troop from Massapequa, who helped me plant next years garlic (they will return in the Spring to harvest it) and then picked vegetables from the garden for a vegetarian cooking class. We still have green beans, broccoli, kale, swiss chard, arugula, peppers, cherry tomatoes, radishes, bimg_7563eets, and squash coming out of the garden, which made for an awesome Japanese Stir Fry with Tofu and Brown Rice Noodles. It was a great afternoon, with lots of sharing, lots of tasting, lots of talking, and lots of eating! I look forward to their next visit!

It was an enchanted evening filled with great short documentaries, wonderful speakers and delicious food. We got to highlight many of our own local producers and farmers, and feature their food on our menu. I love putting on these film feasts! They engage all of our senses, and inspire meaningful conversation about our food system and how you can vote with your fork. Check out the menu and try to catch the next one!

This week, my guest on the Progressive Radio Network is Junie Moon Schreiber, a Certified Shadow Work Facilitator, Transformational Coach. You might be asking yourself, what is that? Good question! I had the juniemoon_web-0419same question, but after talking with Junie Moon, and reading about Shadow Work, I understand it as a way to look back at parts of yourself that are repressed, for what ever reason, and work through it, so that you can manifest what you want in your life. That is a very brief explanation, so if you want to understand it better, join us on Thursday for what promises to be a lively discussion.

Remember, my show is recorded live, every Thursday, from 10-11 am, EST.  To tune in, navigate to PRN.fm and click the “Listen Live” button on the left. Also try downloading the PRN mobile app, and take the station with you wherever you go! If you want to call in during the show with any questions for me or my guest, the call in number is 888-874-4888.

If you can’t tune in at that time, you can listen to the show in the PRN archives, or through a direct phone line to my archives. Just dial 1-701-719-0880, and you can listen to the past 5 weeks of shows! Of course you can also access the shows through my website, or through iTunes.
