iEat Green Heads to Washington for The Food Tank Summit

Hi All,

IMG_6232It’s been a busy week in the garden, getting it set up to plant! I picked up a truckload of fresh compost that I mixed in with my own compost and added it to the beds. The snow peas and sugar snap peas are finally pushing through the earth, and welcoming in the warmth of April, and my fruit trees are all flowering and getting ready to bear fruit. The bees seem happy, but the jury is still out on whether or not they will accept the new honey flow combs. I’ll keep you posted on that! IMG_6229

This Wednesday and Thursday, I will be in Washington, D.C, attending the 2nd Annual Food Tank Summit. Last year, I recorded my show on site at the conference, and had short mini interviews with many of the presenters. It worked out so great, that I am planning on doing the same thing this Thursday, during my iEat Green Radio Show. Food Tank is a wonderful, non profit organization, that is dedicated to building a global community for safe, healthy, and nourished eaters. They spotlight environmentally, socially, and economically sustainable ways of alleviating hunger, obesity, and poverty and create networks of people, organizations, and content to push for food system change. This Summit is just one of the many ways that they are engaging the public, and bringing the issues to the forefront. Please join me on Thursday for this special iEat Green Radio Show.images
