Hi All,

When I started writing this post, we were in the midst of a cooking frenzy, getting ready to feed 1000 people an Italian Feast, for our Christmas Celebration. Now I am returning to the post, having completed our 22nd year of serving the folks in Rufus King Park. It was a beautiful day, filled with love, spirit, gratitude, and lots of delicious food. A big thank you to all of my volunteers and donors who helped to make it possible!

This evening, after our long day in the park, I had the pleasure of watching my daughter, Elana, and her boyfriend Seth, give a presentation on their experience at Standing Rock, and the truth about the threat of water contamination. I am very proud to see my daughter taking a stand and sharing her passion and wisdom with others.

With all this holiday jubilee, I am even more excited to announce this week’s guest on my radio show, Robin Raven. Her recent publication of the book, Santa’s First Vegan Christmas, might be the last-minute gift you need! I love to see young people follow their dreams and promote more humane animal welfare practices!

My guest this week on Progressive Radio Network will be Robin Raven, the author of a new children’s book titled Santa’s First Vegan Christmas, wherein a new holiday story of ultimate compassion reveals itself. Raven, who is a passionate writer and, of course, a friend of the animals, decided to create a ‘Santa world’ where there is no cracking of the whip on Rudolph the Red-nosed reindeer!
