iEat Green: An Interview with William Powers

Hi All,
NewSlowCity-cvr-thumb
This Thursday, on PRN, I had a great conversation with William Powers, the author of the just released book, New Slow City, and a specialist in examining the American culture of speed and its alternatives. In his book, William explores ways to live more simply, and with less stuff, in order to create enough time to enjoy many of the city sanctuaries, the local farmers markets, and to “smell the roses.” One of the many tools that William developed to help him simplify his life was to look at what he calls the “Joy to Stuff Ratio,” where he evaluates the cost of an item vs. the pleasure he gains from it, and establishes its worth. If you missed our interview, you can listen to it?here!
