He has been working on a sustainable agricultural model that mimics the natural life of a prairie, by creating perennial grains instead of annual grains. We had a fascinating conversation about the interconnectedness of nature, and how it is necessary to look at the whole eco-system and not just one aspect of it, when trying to solve some of the problems created by our current mono crop agricultural system.
