iEat Green: An Interview with Nicholas Freudenberg

Hi All,

This morning I had a great interview with Nick Freudenberg, the author of Lethal but Legal: Corporations, Consumption and Protecting Public Health. Nick Freudenberg is a professor at Hunter College and CUNY School of Public Health, is the director of the NYC Food Policy Center at Hunter College, and has been a Screen Shot 2014-07-17 at 9.32.09 AMhealth advocate for over 30 years. This book is the culmination of his research and work around the influence large corporations have on public health, and how their power has gotten out of hand. Focusing on the food and pharmaceutical industry, as well as firearms, alcohol, tobacco and automobiles, Nick delves into their similarities and how their practices damage the environment, undermine democracy, promote inequality, and cause serious health problems. If you missed the show. please check it out hear and read his book. It is excellent!
