iEat Green: An Interview with Lisa Levart

Hi All,

Yesterday, I had a wonderful interview with Lisa Levart, an artist, world renowned photographer, and feminist, about her work, Goddess on Earth. Goddess on Earth is not only a gorgeous book, but it has taken the form of a blog on the Huffington Post, art installations with 10 foot photo banners, video and music, and 81Imgyy0TIL._SL1100_speaking engagements, all about the divine feminine Goddess energy, that supports and nurtures this world. The women she has chosen to highlight in her book, and on her post, have all embodied a mythological Feminine Goddess, whose truth speaks to them, and who inspires them in the world. I just love her work! As our conversation meandered through the many topics and questions I had, we talked about how the glass ceiling still remains in the art world and in the world of cooking, even though more women are chefs then men. She did a quick google search and found out that 55% of the working artists today are women, but only 5% of artists represented in museums are women, and I shared with her the Times Magazine article, Gods of Food, where they talked about the top 13 chefs, and they were all men! Check out this response story in the Daily Beast! Anyway, do have a listen to our interview. It was wonderful!
