This past Wednesday, Save Long Island invited me to speak, following their screening of Jeffrey Smith’s new documentary, Genetic Roulette. This is another very important film that everyone should see, because it clearly explains the dangers of Genetically Modified Foods, the connections it has to the health of our population, and how it managed to work it’s way into every aspect of our food supply.GMO’s are bad for us and the planet, and Proposition 37, which will be on the ballot in California this November, is an opportunity to require mandatory labeling of our foods. If you missed the screening, I suggest you rent it on line. It is worth it!  One of the issues that came up in the movie, is the amount of money that Monsanto, and other bio-tech companies, as well as food companies,  are willing to spend to prevent this Proposition from going through. Even the organic companies that you would expect to be on our side, are now owned by huge conglomerates that would stand to lose money, should this go through. The whole world is watching, and we all need to sign on and do what we can to help this go through.
