May 8: Forum on Challenges and Solutions for Renewables in NYC

May 8, 2015 @ 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm

$10

We all know that renewables like solar and wind power are the way to go, if we want to break our addiction to fossil fuels, fight climate change, and build a more sustainable future. But what are the installation challenges renewables face in NYC? Come and hear a panel of expert speakers presented by the United for Action Sustainability Task Force, as we explore the landscape of renewables in the urban environment.

As an added bonus, the moderator for the evening will be Albert Appleton, a Cooper Union professor who is also an international consultant on sustainability, water resource management, the economics of the energy industry, and a former Commissioner of the NYC Department of Environmental Protection.

Speakers will include: Chris Neidl, a founding staff member of Solar One, Eadaoin Quinn, Education & Administrative Coordinator at Sims Municipal Recycling, and Jeff Irvine, Lead NYC Solar Ombudsman for Sustainable CUNY. And of course there will also be time for Q&A with each of the speakers. It should be a fascinating evening!
