Long Island’s very first 21 and over PINTWOOD DERBY comes to Long Ireland Beer Co. (Riverhead) on July 25th. The event will begin at 3:00pm with a CALL FOR CARS, first race 5:30pm.

Climb up into the attic and dust off your old pinewood car or come on down and showoff your 7th grade woodshop skills…either way, join us for a good old-fashioned derby race where local craft beer lovers will compete for trophies, cash prizes, and the greatest prize of all…bragging rights!

Not a racer? Come on down anyway – no ticket required! Come cheer on your friends with a beer in your hand (pay as you go).

The event will follow the traditional pinewood car derby rules and will be run on an official derby track.  Advance registration is required, click here to register or head on down to the Long Ireland Beer Co. to register in person (817 Pulaski Street in Riverhead, NY 11901) during tasting room hours (Monday – Friday: 3 to 7pm; Saturday & Sunday: 1 to 6pm).

Registration Class (must pick one):

• 5 oz. Class: Open to anyone, 21+.  Must adhere to governing laws outlined in the Official Rules.

• Outlaw Class: Open to anyone, 21+.  Only rules here are size dimensions so the car will run on the track without damaging it and that it does not interfere with cars next to it. (No open flames).

Online registration in advance:
$15 +tax/fee includes one car entry (4 races), Pintwood Derby Pint Glass and $1 dollar off all pints that night. Must pick class at time of registration.

Brewery registration in advance:
$15 includes one car entry (4 races), Pintwood Derby Pint Glass and $1 dollar off all pints that night. Must pick class at time of registration.

Event day registration (available for purchase at the brewery only)
$20 includes one car entry (4 races) and the option to purchase a Pintwood Derby Pint Glass ($6 while supplies last). Must pick class at time of registration.

Create a team car or fly solo…even If you have no skills at all, that’s ok too, it’s easy to build a race car.

1. AT THE BREWERY:  Basic car kits ($5) are available at the Long Ireland Brewing Co. tasting room (during regular tasting room hours Mon – Fri: 3 to 7pm; Sat & Sun 1 to 6pm).  While supplies last.
