December 4th – “Triple Divide” Screening at Cinema Arts

December 4, 2014 @ 7:30 pm - 9:30 pm

$6 – $11

The Cinema Arts Center and the statewide nonprofit coalition New Yorkers Against Fracking have teamed up to bring Long Island the hard-hitting fracking documentary “Triple Divide.”

With Governor Andrew Cuomo re-elected, the state of New York continues to grapple with the decision ?to frack or not to frack.? Hailed as ?a bombshell? by the Times Leader Staff, “Triple Divide” is neither partisan nor hyperbolic and does an excellent job presenting the facts of the industry as they are.

Directed by Public Herald journalists Melissa Troutman and Joshua Pribanic, “Triple Divide” is a revelatory film that came about as the result of a three-year investigation into government and industry data as well as first-hand testimony from affected Pennsylvania citizens and lease-holders. ?This film is the shocking truth about how water and energy connect us all,? says Troutman. With the NY state decision on fracking pending approval any day, this one-night-only event is your chance to get informed on the issue before our fracking fate is sealed for good.
