The Community Chest of Port Washington was established in 1949 to raise and distribute funds to charities that provide a wide range of essential services to Port Washington residents. Our motto ?The People of Port Helping the People of Port?? truly exemplifies the spirit and purpose of the Community Chest.? In 2015 the Community Chest will give out over $290,000 in grants to 26 non-profit groups whose services benefit approximately one in four people in Port Washington.
