Appreciating Life’s Energy

Hi All,

As I sit to write this, I take a deep inhale and exhale, and let the flow of life’s energy fill my being.

Today’s Colorful Bounty!

Life is so incredible! It is filled with so many amazing moments, all opportunities to challenge us and to teach us. The happy occasions that continue to go on, while on another side of life, you are saying sweet good-byes to ones you love, and at the same time, juggling the everyday, mundane responsibilities that can weight us down, but give us our daily rhythm.

All of these things go hand in hand, and when we bring love and our higher self into the mixture, all of life becomes our yogic path. And all paths are sweeter with delicious, healthy, nourishing food! Set the table and bring the people you love together for a great meal!

This week, I hosted a follow up dinner gathering for the Steering Committee from the Long Island Small Farm Summit. We are talking about programing for the Small Farm Initiative and scheduling workshops to keep the community that we are building active and involved. I can’t believe The Small Farm Summit was 6 months ago! It’s already time to start planning the next one!

Setting the Table for our Vermont Family Dinner!

Then on Friday, we took off for our annual summer trek to Vermont, where we joined our dear extended family. We have been so fortunate to have this circle in our life. Our children have all grown up together, and now they are young adults, making their own plans, and inviting us to join! Following our evening banquet, we rock’d the house better than any club in the city!

As you all know, my show is now on Thursday mornings at 10 AM EST. My guest this week will be Sherry Ackerman. Sherry is author of The Good Life, a guide to finding personal freedom in one’s life and a blueprint for a sustainable and fulfilling lifestyle.

Next week, my guest will be Perryne Lokhandwala and Paula Lee Poy of PlayHarvest,a grassroots organization focused on harnessing the creative force of community-based design, the dynamic power of outdoor play, and the energizing benefits of locally grown foods to motivate kids to live healthier, more active lives.

Don’t forget, if you want to catch the show live, navigate to PRN.fm and click the “Listen Live” button on the left. Also try downloading the PRN mobile app, and take the station with you wherever you go! You can download all shows on iTunes, or or click through my radio show archives.  You can also listen in by phone 24/7 by calling (832) 280-0066.

In just the last week, I can really feel the end of Summer and the beginning of Fall upon us. I wish all of you who are back in your new routines of school, work, driving the kids around, or whatever, the best of luck in your new endeavors and that you continue to make time to eat well and share in the bounty of the harvest with your family and friends.

In peace and love,
Bhavani
