An Interview with Sara Romeo-White, Author of “Binge My Story”

Hi Everybody,

I just got home from a Slow Food screening of the documentary film, Fed Up.? It is a film that makes your blood boil. It takes the responsibility of the obesity crisis away 2014-05-07-FedUpPoster2.jpgfrom the individual, and puts the blame on big business and government, marketing to children and to the public, and not telling us the truth. In the film, Marion Nestle says it like it is, it is good business to keep us sick. It’s good for food manufacturers, for pharmaceutical companies, for subsidized farmers, for insurance companies, for doctors and hospitals, and its good for political donations. The only ones it is not good for is the American public, and our government doesn’t care enough about us to do anything about it! The kids being born today will be the first generation to have a shorter life span then their parents. That is inexcusable! Please pass around this trailer, and encourage everyone you know to see this film. We need to get masses of people angry enough, so that the politicians have no choice but to listen to us. We can’t compete with the money behind the food manufacturers, but we can cause an uprising, so large and massive, that they will have no choice but to listen and change “business as usual.”

My guest tomorrow on the Progressive Radio Network is someone who finally conquered her life long struggle with an eating disorder. Sara Romeo-White just completed her memoir, bingemystory.com, which is a multimedia account of her? struggle to get control of her Binge Eating disorder. The memoir is so honest and touching, that Autosave-File vom d-lab2/3 der AgfaPhoto GmbHone can’t help feeling her pain, embarrassment, and desperation, as her weight exceeds 300 pounds. Please join me for what promises to be an eye opening expos?, into the life of someone with an eating disorder. Sara also blogs at bingemyblog.tumblr.com.
