An Interview with Author & Photographer, Lisa Levart

Hi Everyone,

I can’t believe I woke up this morning to snow! I am still in the mood for summer, and I was just getting used to fall, when surprise…it’s winter! I pulled out my winter boots, and headed off to work. Because of the early snow, we had to harvest all of the vegetables still in my clients garden, which took hours and hours to clean and cook and process for the freezer! I know we will appreciate it when?2 months from now, we can pull out some broccoli rabe and bok choy, and taste the deliciousness and goodness from the garden!

I have been working hard to set up a schedule for the big Thanksgiving Feast that we do with The River Fund NY Food Pantry, the?Tuesday before Thanksgiving (11-26-13). Thank you to everyone who has already signed up, but if 262054_483612348328408_435922975_nyou haven’t signed up yet, and you would like to participate, you can sign up on the doodle document by clicking here.? You can also participate by collecting warm coats, blankets, and other winter clothing items from all of your friends, and drop it off at the iEat Green homestead, for our big Coat Drive. We distribute hundreds and hundreds of coats to go along with the great Thanksgiving Dinner. If you would like to donate a turkey, we accept either a fresh turkey, an already defrosted turkey, a fully cooked turkey, that we will carve, or a monetary donation towards the event. Other than the turkeys, the entire meal is vegetarian, and I always offer Tofu Cutlets with Mushroom Gravy for our vegetarian guests.
